A while back, I posted about checking out my grandfather’s telescope down in Texas. He wanted to know if it “still worked”, so we checked. Yes, it did. He passed away shortly after flying back home, and left the telescope to me. After a few months, The scope is here in Maryland.

Cameras
Me being me, I wanted to get my camera working with this thing. And that took longer that I want to admit to know I needed to order. But I figured it out, and put my order in.
The next day… Amazon delivered my order to the wrong house. Thanks guys. Thankfully that home owner did Amazon’s job, and brought my package over.

Now to look for birds on the moon.
This is going to take some time to learn how to dial things in. The moon moves a lot quicker than you’d think this close in.

This is a minute plus of the moon moving across the frame in real time.
I wasn’t able to get it on camera. But with a 10mm eyepiece, I was just barely able to see Saturn’s rings. I’m going to have fun with this thing.
