Dead Battery

Cars

Welp, I took too long to get a new car battery… And my car won’t start.

Oops

I needed to replace the battery, well let’s be honest, probably two months ago. Back when that car would start after a few tries. But now, nothing. And as usual with a dead battery, its right when I needed it. As I had to go to work.

So it was out with the jumper pack. Letting it charge the battery until the car would turn over. Then it was off to work.

What To Do

I need a new battery. That’s not a question. Unfortunately, I don’t exactly have time to get one. Seeing how everything is closed after I get off work. And I have to get things ready for Christmas back home. So I’m not going to really be able to hit Walmart for a battery. Nor am I down taking 10 minutes to start my car with an old jumper pack. So that really leaves me with one option. Have one delivered on the spot.

Unfortunately, that’s not cheap. Even with my AAA membership. But, that’s what I get for putting this off for this long.

So, when I got out of work, fully ready to call in AAA, it started on the first try. This thing is mocking me.

A Couple Days of Limping

I didn’t need the jumper pack for the next few days. I am definitely being mocked. So, I made some time, and made my way up to Walmart.

Battery

I got home, and swapped the battery. Only mildly cursing1 when I dropped my wrench down next to the radiator.

  1. It wasn’t mild at all. ↩︎
