I use IA Writer to write posts for this blog. And don’t get me wrong, I really like it. But, it’s been locking up on me.

When I write a post, I have IA up on the left, and a render of my post on the right (Hugo’s dev server). But as of late, IA has been locking up when saving.

I think it has something to do with IA auto saving as you type, and Hugo trying to read things at the same time. There doesn’t seem to be a setting to disable auto save. I might look for a different editor, or change me workflow a bit, we’ll see.

On a side note, I messed up a Hugo command, and it made a folder named --renderToMemory/. No command could do anything with it. ls, rm, and cd all through unknown option errors. My only option was to open the folder in finder, and delete it there, interesting. Maybe that had something to do with IA locking up, I’ll drop an update here if it did.

IA still locks up, that weird folder had nothing to do with it.
